CONSTITUTION & GENERAL RULES

 

Rules for Admission

(1)     Ratio of admission as per instructions issued by APSAC Sectt is as under:-

(a)     Officers                         50% 70%
(b)     JCOs/Soldiers               20%
(c)      Civilians                       30%

(2)     Ratio of above admission will be properly implemented except marginal adjustment with final approval of Vice Chairman Executive Committee.

(3)     Admissions will be carried out on the basis of an interview/test for various classes to be held by an Admission Committee constituted by the Principal. Admission tests for various classes will be conducted as per pattern set in the light of Guide Book of APSACS for admission test papers.

(4)     Bona-fide students from other Army Public Schools will be granted admission. Such admissions will be subject to the right of Principal to refuse admission to any such child for gross academic/ disciplinary shortcomings.

(5)     Generally fresh admission will be carried out only at the start of the academic session. However, children of Armed Forces Personnel and children of APS/F.G Teachers will be entertained at any time during the academic year if parents have been posted to Gujranwala Cantt subject to the conditions of admission.

(6)     Students selected for admission will have to join the College within 15 days of the notice placed on the notice board, after which the vacancy will stand surrendered.

(7)     Transfer cases from other local schools will not be entertained, except in rare cases and subject to other conditions set forth above.

(8)     Children of army personnel transferred from Army Public Schools will not be charged admission fee. All transfer cases of APS/ Non APS (wards of army personnel) will be given admission as per policy vide GHQ ltr no.04/16/22/APS-WB279 dated 10 Oct 10.
